Lorraine had recently tried weight loss, But by making small goals for herself and trusting the process. She has now lost a huge five stone in preparation for her wedding.
Lorraine Byrne has shared her weight loss secrets after dropping an amazing five stone in preparation for her wedding later this year.
The Kerry lady, who now lives in Kildare, had been progressively gaining weight for several years, but when she became engaged, she recognized she tried to look her best on her bridal day.
“I started in May 2020. I got engaged in November 2019 and planned to lose weight for the wedding, but there were a lot of celebrations, engagement parties, and Christmas to deal with.
“Then there was the lockdown in March, and I gained maybe a stone between March and May. But then we started planning the wedding, and I decided I had to do it.”
Lorraine, 33, had tried repeatedly Slimming World and reached out to the consultant to get started. Lorraine didn’t mind that it was run virtually at the time.
“I didn’t struggle during the lockdown,” Lorraine said. “I was at home a lot and could make whatever I wanted.”
“When things started opening up, things got a little more difficult.” When you’re at the workplace, you tend to grab everything that you can get your hands on. But it was all about organizing; I’d have my lunch ready. “I planned my meals for the coming week.”
Lorraine has already shed an amazing five stone and feels so much better for it.
“I’m feeling great,” she added. “Even things like going for walks – before, I’d go for a stroll but had to stop or sit down for a bit. Now my fiance notices that I don’t need to stop at all.”
Lorraine’s best piece of advice would be to trust the process and yourself.
